Win a culinary break at Bolara 60

2014_04_17-17_45_18-HDRThe winners will spend three nights at Bolara Šešanta in Croatian Istria. The c.250 year-old stone farmhouse and walled vegetable garden had been abandoned for 30 years. In July 2017 we’ll be open for guests seeking rural tranquility and culinary adventure…

Istria is famous for its air-dried ham, game, truffles, wild asparagus, seafood, olive oil and wine. Its delicious cuisine is an intriguing mix of Italian, Austrian and Slavic influences, featuring many dishes cooked on the open hearth.

We’ll make sure you enjoy the best of Istrian food and drink and invite you into the kitchen to get stuck in. This might be preserving garden fruit in summer, rolling pasta to top with truffles in autumn or making salami and sauerkraut in winter.

Istria is easy to explore and boasts beautiful walking and cycling routes in the hills, medieval hill-top towns, crystal clear swimming spots and fantastic restaurants.
